A resident of Southern Appalachia, Emily Eversgerd earned her BFA from East Tennessee State University in 2012. Though metal is her primary focus, she uses a full complement of materials and techniques in her designs. Aesthetically, her sculptural jewelry strikes a fine balance between strength and beauty, combining her own meticulous style and unconventional material choices with the elegant forms found in the natural world. Her work has been accepted into multiple juried exhibitions, has won national recognition through scholarships from both the Society of North American Goldsmiths and the Women's Jewelry Association, and has appeared in the book "Showcase 500 Art Necklaces" from Lark Publishing.
